Description
Bound volume of the first 12 monthly issues. Scarce copy of the Perthshire magazine, the brainchild of William Thomas Tovani, of Auchterarder. In 1888 Mr. Tovani started
the Perthshire Magazine – he was the chief partner of the publishing firm of Messrs. Tovani & Company. The magazine lasted only a few years and focussed on the songs and folklore of the Perthshire area.
A fair copy – covers marked (with paint?) appearing to have been used to rest paints on.. Internally the binding is cracked at the hinges, though holding. The endpapers are a mess, with stickers and various pen marks etc The contents are in better state, though fair only. 168 pages – includes local notes section with local history . A poor copy of a very scarce item.
