Description
40pp 6″ x 4.5″ softcovers . Ephemeral collection by the Scottish poet. Covers a little worn but sound. Included is a letter from the author to Charles Graves (critic and brother of Robert Graves) in which he encloses the book with some comments. The book itself is annotated by Cocker on two pages with the dates of composition, the second being “December 1917 Minden” against the Sonnets in Captivity (Cocker was imprisoned in Minden as a POW after being captured in service with the HLI at Paschendale). His war poetry has come to be more appreciated than his comic verse or drama. A significant association item
