Description

Folded card. with burgh seal pictured to the front in colour. Includes lyrics of a song written by Jimmy Shand (the Scottish accordionist, and John S. Ramsay) who was a guest of honour at the event. The song and accordion tune appeared on later Jimmy Shand albums but was written for this occasion. Laid in are two copies of a typed sheet with historical information about the town and paticularly the church. There are some notes on the sheets, possibly written by one of the speakers at the opening.
