Short novel published as a complete issue of ‘The Modern Scot’, the short lived but influential Scottish literary renaissance magazine. This is a one-off. It appears to be a copy of the magazine (without the covers, but including the foreword by C M Grieve (MacDiarmid). The binding is of decorated cloth with paper title, a little light wear. Internally VG other than slightly rusty staples and a little foxing to the half title which is signed and dated by Kennedy (Glasgow 21 – XI- 30) – the same month as the original publication. A label in caligraphic scipt advises that the book was bound by hand by John Cockburn.. A curiosity and an interesting first edition.
