First one volume edition. Later buckram binding ruled and titled in gilt. Renewed yellow endpapers with bookbinders label to rear (Jas. Fawn, who operated in Bristol in the 1860s and after).
This edition was “Revised, corrected, and illustrated with a new introduction, notes etc. by the Author.” for inclusion in Bentley’s Standard Novels series.
