Unusual paper bound edition of 59 of Bacons assays printed on handmade paper, roughly cut. I believe there was no hardback edition of this and these were printed with a view to purchaser’s having them bound in their own preferred style. All other copies of this edition currently available are in personalised bindings. Two spots to the covers which hav ecome through to the half title page and one through slightly to the title .
