The copy of Viscount Esher (Oliver Brett) the British politician and patron of the arts, with his bookplate to the front pastedown. Collection 6 first edition works published 1903, 1904 and bound together. This with scarlet boards and gilt titles may have been bound privately or in a limited edition for the Viscount as it is usually found in cream cloth and black titles. Pencilled initialled note from Viscount Brett with a date of 1920, presumably of when he read the work. VG+
