The first two volumes in this important series dedicated to agricultural improvement in the Highlands of Scotland. This set the property of the 7th Earl of Findlater and Seafield, James Ogilvy with his name in ink to the front boards of the original paper boards. Ogilvy was an important figure in the development of appreciation of landscaping and the beauty of setting for properties, commissioning both Robert Adam and Playfair to work on his properties. The Earldom fell dormant after his death in 1811. A few tears to the early pages, but generally internally Good+. The fragile bindings are worn to edges but holding with the paper title labels worn but still attached, the pages are rough cut. Important association copies.
