Second Obelisk Press edition without the white spine and no sun illustration on the front cover which distinguish the true first edition published in 1939.. This is the third edition overall and was preceded by the true first edition, and a Shanghai piracy edition. This edition was published in August 1945, at 175 francs, in an edition of 10,000 copies. Orange errata sheet tipped in to the title page. Cheap paper covers have been protected with non archival laminate which is browning to the interior but otherwise has preserved the colour and integrity of the covers.Shifreen & Jackson A21d.
